Create a blog......
This was on my list of "things to do when I retire". I retired at the end of Dec. 2011 and I am now just getting started.  To be honest, I have had "cold feet" about this endeavor.  I LOVE reading blogs, especially art related blogs.  I wanted to jump on the bandwagon.  Well, now, here I am in this "post" box and it's like looking at a new blank white page in an art journal....what will I do?  what will I say?  what will I share?  and who cares?  But, never let it be said that I'm not brave.  Please bear with me while I learn this new creative outlet.  I think I will have to engage the help of a friends for help as the words gadget, insert a jump break, etc. give me a scare.  


To start, I recently took the most wonderful online art class from the amazing Junelle Jacobson - her blog is:  yesandamenblog.blogspot.com/ - it was through Christy Tomlinson [another outstanding artist] her blog is:  christytomlinson.typepad.com/.  Christy had set up a special group on Facebook for students from this class to share their art.  Through this group many, many of Junelle's students have interacted and there are so many beautiful posts I can't even begin to tell you.  


I am going to attempt to post some of the artwork I have created taking this class....thank you for stopping by and I hope to be able to continue this little blog as it seems like it will be fun.

As a footnote:  the first and last pictures are in an art journal and have a lot of texture....the middle was created on canvas board!  Thanks again!
